Little Reflection on African culture
company, today
small miracle, Mom bought us Helen fans! It will change your life, I'm already taken up to three showers a day to refresh myself I was so hot. It is not normal!
As I've described my first view of Africa I'll share my thoughts on this culture.
climate, traffic, poverty, crowds are many elements that remind me of India here yet there is something fundamentally different. The Indians have kept their culture, have developed their industry: Hinduism, Tata buses, the sari and sarong ... It gives them probably trust, insurance and a culture of entrepreneurship.
Here all are but pale reflections see the remains of the West, vehicles export clothes to the Red Cross, Christianity ... people are doing, rafistolent until the next breakdown, but do not take the whole of the problem and even when they do are quickly blocked by thieves or corrupt officials. Everyone is trying to survive it's every man for himself!
The lack of leadership, lack of maintaining the disorder, resignation, did what years of colonialism and dictatorship taught the Congolese? What is certain is that the Belgian colonists have destroyed all the representations of animist religions before. All that was holy spirits, ancestors, amulets, statues ... and much of its culture. Congo you it suffers from an identity crisis, a national depression preventing him from emancipation? Mamma Else
gave us a text that illustrates this problem. "A juxtaposition of two Africas, one yesterday, once fit, which turns off miserably, and tomorrow is pregnant. Africa yesterday, with a rich history of community values, has lost its old traditions in favor of an identity crisis, alienation of long charged disarray suffering and resignation. Those of tomorrow presents a profile instead beaming with hope and vitality. It embodies a new generation of carrier resilience and creative vision of the world. Faced with major challenges related to survival, these two Africas find themselves at the crossroads. Recharge to the origins, or betray forever reinventing themselves or disappear. "
The climate, the absence of the state, access to water and energy, security, judiciary, education, health are all factors that account for the Congolese forces on a daily basis for survival and prevent the development project, an industry that would allow him to break free of international aid. This country has enormous wealth, fresh water, oil, minerals, fertile soil ... everything is there but is not exploited or so by armed groups or international companies.
Here, this observation is finally done I'll tell you about myself. It is true that all these elements are not very encouraging and it took me a while to identify them. But that does not prevent me from walking in the street, meet people. I begin to hear the world in my neighborhood it's nice to integrate. Yesterday I went to the hairdresser and they cut hair here very very short! And all of a razor blade, it's as if he brushes his hair but with a razor blade, it provides the type. So he took a picture with me, he does not often cut hair white! Here finally a picture of my room.
Ah yes, today I met Jesus, well yeah we believe all the street corners. But we are not very buddies both!
Next time I'll talk of my job, I also have plenty to tell about that.
Bye kiss.
